Community, Club and Families - Together we can make a difference!

As with many non-profit organizations that benefit our children and community, the successful operation of Gulf Coast Soccer depends heavily on many volunteers devoting time to coaching, fundraising, field maintenance, serving on the board of directors or one of our committees, or even taking on a special project or event. Most of our volunteers have more than one child and are juggling their volunteer work with full time employment. Like most of us, they have busy lives too and choose to volunteer here to make a difference. We cannot thank them enough for their service and hope the satisfaction of knowing they are investing time into the lives of a children warms their heart.

Each year, many longtime players graduate from high school and move on to adulthood as younger kids join the club to experience soccer for the first time. Since most people volunteer in support of their children, we must continuously replace a percentage of our volunteers each year to sustain a viable operation. With a growing club that is striving for continuous improvement in our programs and the overall experience of our members, it seems we never have enough help. In addition, we have many great ideas and projects on the drawing board that we could implement if we just had more people to help bring them to fruition. We have formed various committees and single task volunteer positions to help spread the workload.

We need your help! Regardless of the time and experience you have, we can find a project or action item to fit your schedule, ability, and interest level. We have a Facility Master Plan and numerous improvement projects and activities to implement. We are seeking volunteers to help implement these tasks during the season and offseason. We are also looking for sponsors and donations to help fund the improvements or provide equipment, labor or expertise. If you or someone you know might be interested in making a donation of some kind, please see our Sponsorship and Donations section below.

How to Get Involved

To begin, learn about our many volunteer positions and opportunities available within the club by reviewing the 'Volunteer Needs' and 'Sponsorship and Donation Needs' sections below. Talk to board members or committee members to see what they do and ask if they need help with a task or event. If you notice a need or inefficiency within the club or on the complex and feel like you can make a contribution, let someone know. It may be that an improvement can be made if someone like you volunteers to lend a hand!

Volunteer Onboarding and Support (in development)

The Gulf Coast Soccer Club Operations Manual includes job descriptions, perpetual calendars, and procedures for most board and committee positions. This manual also provides “How to” guides for many tasks such as marking a soccer field, running community engagement events, opening day events, etc.

Sponsorship and Donation Needs:

A club and complex the size of Gulf Coast Soccer requires a lot of money, manpower, supplies and equipment to operate. We strive to keep soccer affordable to low income families. We try to be as self-sufficient as possible so we conduct several fundraisers each year with our membership. We also seek out sponsors from the local community that appreciate our role in the community serving youth and want to support us. Below is a list of some of the sponsorship and donation needs we have.

  • Club Sponsor (check back soon)
  • Team Sponsor (check back soon)
  • Support or Sponsor one of our Capital Projects (check back soon)
  • Donate Material, Equipment or Manpower (check back soon)
