In this camp, Coach Lassiter will share insight and experience from his professional playing experience to help campers improve. This year we are adding a Goal Keeper Camp as well.

• Movement off the ball
• Finishing techniques. 
• Finding the moment to shoot
• Using different parts of the foot to shoot
• Using both left and right foot to shoot
• Placing shots
• Hard direct shots
• First touch to setup the shot
• Shooting techniques and mechanics 
• Finishing from crosses
• Combination play in the final third

Understanding and executing these methods will ultimately assist to having good shooting habits. In the modern game all players are responsible for scoring regardless of their position on the field. This camp will provide confidence to shot with the proper mechanics and is available to all field players to get to their next level of soccer success.

Camp Director: Roy Lassiter

As a player, Roy Lassiter was one of the most prolific scorers in Major League Soccer history. In 1996, he won the MLS Golden Boot, awarded to the leagues top goal scorer, for his 27 goals, a single season scoring record that stood until 2019. For his 1996 performance, Roy was selected as one of MLS Best XI, awarded to the top 11 players in MLS. 

Since his playing days have ended, Roy has been involved in coaching at the youth level from grassroots to elite levels such as ECNL, Developmental Academy and is currently an assistant coach for Houston Dynamo 2, second division team.
